It's a Blue Moon Rising

That's right, for the first time in decades, a second full moon will occur in a month (called a blue moon). And this time it happens on New Year's Eve.

It's usually quiet here (not everyone needs a big party!) And it might be snowy, but certainly NOT as bad as Dec. 18-20. I' posting a few photos just to prove how covered up we were. Now it is simply pretty cold.

A week ago we went to Asheville to visit old friends. I had a lot of fun photographing the scenery beside I-26 going 50-60 mph. Top left is one of the more astonishing photos made by snapping it, editing it and changing the contrast so it is almost black and white.

Prospect Hill B&B Inn will be open on New Year's weekend. We have a $250/two night stay special which is a big discount for rooms with whirlpool tubs AND fireplaces. We think people who want to snuggle will come visit.

Santa brought me a new lens so stay tuned for new photos. Today we posted a shot of the cat asleep in her bucket of catnip. Look for that one soon... Stay warm. Enjoy winter!
